Ratibida columnifera ‘Prairie Coneflower’ – Native Spire Blooms for Meadows & Dry Gardens
🛒 Product Description
Ratibida columnifera, commonly known as Prairie Coneflower or Mexican Hat, is a hardy North American native perennial featuring distinctive spire-like central cones surrounded by drooping petals in warm tones of yellow, red, and bicolour. With its wildflower charm and drought tolerance, it’s perfect for:
- 🌿 Meadow plantings and prairie-style gardens
- 🐝 Pollinator habitats and biodiversity zones
- 💐 Naturalistic borders and cut flower arrangements
Growing to approximately 60–90 cm, Prairie Coneflower thrives in full sun, blooms from late spring through summer, and attracts bees, butterflies, and seed-eating birds. Its deep taproot makes it ideal for dry, poor soils, and it self-seeds readily for long-term impact.
