Sowing Instructions

  • Sow seeds 6–8 weeks before last frost or in early spring
  • Plant seeds 5–7 mm deep in seed‑raising mix
  • Keep soil moist but not wet
  • Germination: 7–14 days at 18–25°C

  • Sun: Full sun (6–8+ hours daily)
  • Water: Regular, consistent watering
  • Support: Stake, trellis, or cage recommended

🍅 Growing Tips for Best Results

  • Plant seedlings deeper than they were in the pot — tomatoes grow roots along buried stems
  • Mulch well to retain moisture and reduce soil splash
  • Water at the base of the plant to prevent disease
  • Feed regularly with a balanced or tomato‑specific fertiliser
  • Prune lightly to improve airflow and fruit production

Seed Saving Tip

Let a fully ripe fruit soften on the plant, scoop out the seeds, ferment briefly in water, then dry thoroughly. Store in a cool, dry place for future seasons.
